Within four minutes, one hundred fifty rounds fired, seventeen killed, seventeen wounded with no one barricading in place, and fleeing into the line of fire. Building inhabitants were not aware of shots fired. Twenty minutes AFTER the assailant left the building, law enforcement watched and were making decisions based on what they thought was live video. Meanwhile the assailant was off site at a restaurant casually enjoying an iced tea. Had there been situational awareness in the building, barricading and law enforcement had live video g, would the results have been different?
The Bernalillo County Fire Department responded to a fire, later discovering a body in the rubble. Had dispatch had live video access prior to trucks arriving on the scene, would the results have been different?
In addition to the life saving shooter detection system, live video, live shot mapping, live barricade mapping, physical barricades, instant text, instant email and instant audible notification systems, each business will be equipped with a flashing amber beacon, and “Project lighthouse” graphics.
These prominent visual reminders, ensure that your constituents know they are in a building that has state-of-the-art safety systems. Ones that not only make them safer, as well as those that may do harm, that in the event of an emergency, first responders will be immediately notified and provided with valuable tools to serve, protect and mitigate threats.
To communicate with an authorized Service Provider, who through the “Critical Incident Safety and Security Notification System”*, community partners are connecting numerous systems within their premises to notify inhabitants as to shots fired, linked to video, access control, barricade engagement and monitoring services. Authorized as detailed in the installation and monitoring agreement.
